Welcome to the Kongi Lab at the University of Tartu!
We are team of young researchers and students based in University of Tartu, Estonia. Our research is focused on investigation of novel electrocatalyst materials for green energy applications, such as batteries, fuel cells, hydrogen energy conversion, carbon dioxide capture and utilization, green ammonia synthesis etc.

Open position:
- A fully funded 4-year PhD position as a Junior Research Fellow is open at KongiLab’s electrochemistry research group at the University of Tartu, Estonia. Join us in developing next-generation dual-atom-site catalysts for a broad range of electrocatalytic reactions relevant to sustainable energy conversion and chemical production. As part of our team, you will design, synthesize, characterize, and investigate advanced electrocatalysts while uncovering the fundamental relationships between atomic-scale structure and catalytic performance.
